Allen's Wedding...

A rememberence

A good friend of mine got married the other day I really think that he's doomed. And I will not stop with the "ball before the chains" jokes.

But as expected, I have no photos of the happy couple. But indeed as weddings and funerals tend to be, it's a reunion of sorts. People I rarely see, remembering days long past.

Here's some photos of my friend, how he looked so young, so long ago.

I feel kind of sad for him and wonder if this is finally it. This is what will make the kid grow up. That it'll improve his sense of commitment, he might actually have to get a real job for a change.

For a man who's never had a job for more than six months. A man who always seemed to be moving around. Who surprisingly enough, renewed a yearly lease at 337 Pearl st.

Then forever was transient, living at 905 Main, above the brothel, and the Pu-Pu. 66 Pleasant, then 10 Magazine, then 78 Pleasant. Then moved back in with his parents.

Somehow he's now buying a home, settling down and probably will have kids next year.

The Doctors

This is Chin and his lovely wife. He was out of the tuxedo by the end of the night. But he did make a good best man.

At heart he's a good man. But you've got remember he's a doctor and a Gastroenterologist to boot. So to nobodys surprise. He tells a lot of potty humor.

And people come to him with their problems. He's one of the few people who can say, colon, diarrea, and other less appetizing phrases, during a toast, yet still be sincere and warm hearted.

But that's Andrew on the left, another man who's left. he actually for a change looks respectable. Then again he's retired, who knows if he'll ever go back to doing what he used to.

And on the right is Pat. A handsome fellow, and a good friend for me.

A good couple from Dorchester. I do hope they stick around, but indeed it's a reunion of sorts. Even though we still live in the same town. I don't seem to speak with them very much.

Then there's these two knuckleheads, who invited them. And just what kind of wedding is this.

There's dancing, but no freakin on the dance floor. Hmm... I guess the bump and grind isn't as popular as it is with my sister's cambodian friends. The kind where her groin, is agains his leg. Who managed to pull that off, even though they were playing big band swing music. Oh, well. I guess it's odder that the disco music they seemed to be grinding to even more.
