I've been told that San Francisco, and the bay area is one of the few places where you can order dim sum to go, for take out. I've got to eat less of it. Let's see 3 shrimp dumplings, cost $1.20. Not quite as cheap as Shanghai, and you still have to squawk at them in cantonese or taisanese. My putonghua doesn't seem to cut it. Then again, it might just be how bad my Mandarin actually is.
