Went to Disneyland with my folks.  A most fun experience.  Even better when someone else pays for it.  The happiest place on earth, where dreams really do come true, just $45 a day plus parking, food not included.   They're running quite a racket there, and they're not even serving any alcohol.

Well actually they do.  It used to be the only place you could get alcohol was at Club 33.  Their private $10,000 membership only club above the Blue Bayou.

Since opening the California adventures theme park, Disney in it’s wisdom decides to serve beer (and margaritas for that matter)  I’m not sure what the thinking is, it’s after all a family oriented resort.

Anyhow, the highlight of my trip was the Jungle Cruise.  I asked the train conductor who the best guide on the Jungle Cruise was.  He said, Benny or Sherrie.  So I go up to the attraction and ask one of the guys if Sherrie is working (that's just how my mind works, ask for the woman first).  Anyhow as it happens she's the shift manager.  And she's sitting in the booth, on the other side of us, so the dude I ask, states in a loud voice, "why would you want to go on her tour it's no good!"  Of course she hears it, and then comes back in a few moments saying "I'm working on something right now, but come back in about 20 minutes and I'll make sure you're on my boat, just go to the front of the line."

So I come back, she's helping people get off boats, sees me, says "next one."  So the next boat which comes by, she tells the guide that she's leading this one.  He gets out, she takes over, I jump in.  Her boat tour was good, or at least I thought it was, I was laughing at all her jokes.   Maybe I should have asked for more than a picture.  It wasn't a completely personal tour, but I had a lot of fun at it, plus she was quite cute.

Anyhow, that's now my favorite attraction at Disneyland.  Thank goodness Disney changed the policy and let women lead the Jungle Cruise.  Now for that tasty little thing leading the Story Book Land tour.  The contrary, being that only women could lead that till a couple of years back.  Thanks to the powers that be.

Serves alcohol to the general public, allows women tour directors, and men to lead storybook time.  Disney is such a progressive place, isn’t it?

I’ll have to make sure I go back on feather boa day…
